More on Christopher Columbus

I just found this story from "The Michigan Daily" newspaper on 10/6/06. The caption of the photo reads: "Engineering sophomore Mike Marcantonio stands on the steps of the Grad Library yesterday dressed as Christopher Columbus next to a woman dressed in Native American costume."

Apparently he was "captured" as part of a game called "Catch an Illegal Immigrant." However it is all a bit confusing to me as the group that organized it was a conservative group called Young Americans for Freedom. Another group called By Any Means Necessary or BAMN (a radical pro-affirmative action gorup) protested the YAF "game." [2983]
